Superior Office Systems is an authorized Canon Copier Dealership servicing the Metropolitan New York area since 1967. They specialize in a full digital product line and provide a variety of software solutions. The 40 employees of Superior Office Systems put a strong emphasis on service, with quick response times and replacement parts kept on site. Five years ago, co-owner Eric Wolf's desktop computer crashed and with it went all his contacts. He went to his backup company to restore it and they didn't have his data. He then sent his hard drive to another company who was unable to retrieve his information, but was able to provide him with a large bill. Knowing first-hand the full impact of an unreliable backup service, Wolf set out to find a better solution and found it when one of his clients recommended their online backup provider, BUMI (Backup My Info!).

The Solution

"Since I had personally suffered a colossal backup failure where I lost all my contacts, I wanted to test BUMI first," Wolf says. "They offered a trial period during which we crashed some random data on purpose without letting BUMI know." BUMI was successful in restoring all the data and Superior Office Systems began using BUMI to backup all the business' six servers. They now use BUMI to back up all their important data including Microsoft Exchange, QuickBooks as well as their billing and customer service data.

Wolf appreciates the excellent customer service BUMI provides. "Their people know what they are doing and they are very friendly, great on the phone," he says. BUMI continually touches base to make sure they are still backing up the most critical data. "If the BUMI staff sees a possible problem they give us advice on how to fix it. If there's a problem, I want to know about it, and I really appreciate the calls," he says.
