New York City Bank Counts on Backup My Info! to Safeguard Business-Critical Data
BPD Bank Utilizes Backup My Info! for Off-Site Backup and Disaster Recovery
New York, NY (August 17, 2010) – Backup My Info! (BUMI), the premier provider of online backup for small to mid-sized businesses, today announced that BPD Bank, a subsidiary of Grupo Popular, has selected BUMI for its off-site backup and disaster recovery initiatives. BPD Bank is a New York State Chartered Bank located in the heart of the Financial district in New York City. Prior to BUMI, BPD Bank depended on tape backups, but IT staffers had numerous problems with availability of data and reliability of their technology process. The bank realized the need for a secure off-site backup provider because the current tape backup process required several hours for IT staffers to manage each day.

Since implementation, BPD Bank has utilized BUMI to backup all types of files, including its Microsoft Exchange servers and the company's core banking applications that utilize SQL and Oracle databases.
